Fundraising

Go on Gary!

After Hayley Battle's great success, the next to step up to the fundraising plate is Gary Sargent, who will be scaling Britain's toughest peak in aid of Families Need Fathers.

Gary has been a member for over seven years and, with the help of FNF Southport & Northwest, now enjoys shared residency with his two children. On June 14th (just in time for Father's Day) he will be accompanied by his girlfriend and friends as they scale the massive four thousand, four hundred and six feet to the top of Ben Nevis. Gary hopes you will be able to reach his target of raising £1000 - and you can do that quickly and securely through JustGiving. Families Need Fathers also gets to claim Gift Aid on your contribution - so for every £100 Gary is sponsored, FNF receives an extra £28 absolutely free!

FNF wishes Gary all the very best, and reminds him to pack his mittens.

Raise Money Online

There are several ways you can make money for FNF whilst you use the internet - at no cost to you.

  • The first is by using Everyclick, a search engine which donates half its revenue to charity.
  • Add it to your Favourites and set it as your Homepage and Searchbar with the tools in the top right hand corner. If every member takes part, then FNF will reap some serious rewards.

  • The second is as part of the Amazon affiliates program. Every time you buy something from Amazon going via the link below, we receive 5%.
    •   It's a really simple way to support FNF, so please make sure you use the below link when buying books, CDs, DVDs, birthday presents and so on... Please ask your family, friends and colleagues to do the same.

Mobile Phone & Printer Cartridge Recycling Scheme

    • Last year the FNF Mobile Recycling Scheme raised over £1000 – and it’s time for the good work to continue. We’ve got Recycle4Charity on board this year, who are giving us 50% of the recycling value for every phone they receive (at least £2.50 - but up to £30 for newer models).
    • You will have found a stamped address bag inside your McKenzie magazine this month (if you didn't get one, or need another, just e-mail Nick and we'll get one out to you). All you need to do is pop your old mobile phones in there (no matter how old or broken) and then in the post. We’ll also get £1 for every used inkjet cartridge (as long as they haven’t already been recycled) – so stick them in there as well. You’ll also be doing the planet a favour.

    NEW 25/02/08

You can now arrange for Recycle4Charity to send recycling boxes and bags direct to your office or house. Whether you need a whole box, or just a few bags, Recycle4Charity will send you whatever you need.

Everything will be marked up with their address and our reference number - all you need to do is fill it up and send it off, and the money comes straight to Families Need Fathers.

Just click the banner below to get recycling bags and boxes sent to you. If you need any help, just e-mail Nick.
